The Huddersfield Royal Infirmary is a hospital situated in the English town of Huddersfield, part of Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. It is situated in the suburb of Lindley and provides general services, emergency services and some specialist services it is the Kirklees and Calderdale Trauma Centre, The Huddersfield Royal Infirmary originally had its own School of Nursing. This has now been incorporated into a 'Virtual Ward' setting within the University of Huddersfield's School of Human and Health Resources. It is the base for Huddersfield Pharmacy Specials, established in 1964, which produces mainly unlicensed medicines and bespoke creams and ointments, oral liquids, eye drops and injectables. It employed 53 staff. In April 2006, photovoltaic array panels were installed on the roof of the hospital building, providing it with a renewable source of electricity.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=NHS Huddersfield solar PV array case study )〕 The emergency care and emergency theare and trauma services for Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Brighouse and all of Calderdale/Halifax are accommodated at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
